The old brass bell above the door jingles as Kani walks in to the cafe and she stops to look around. Despite the modern exterior like most of the buildings around New Boston she was surprised to find the inside was rather homey and rustic. She takes a deep breath and walks towards the counter, though she stops several feet away to make sure nobody at the counter asks her what she wants just yet. She browses the options, so many teas and coffees to choose from. Caffeine seemed like the perfect choice for a quick burst of energy so she could get back to training. It must have seemed obvious to everyone else she had been working out. Wearing a garishly yellow shirt that said 'Blue' on the front of it and a pair of sports shorts she had come straight from her dorm room and having seen all the posters around town assumed this would be the best place to get a drink.

Nose deep in his book, Zip takes another sip of his tea. He has lost track of how long he has been in the cafe for, they just keep refilling his tea pot, and for him, that was enough. A simple oolong tea, no sugar or milk, just tea. "A theory of human motivation huh?" Zip mutters to himself, he currently is reading "Being Mortal", a book about medicine and the balance of healthcare and human needs. It was an interesting read, different from the usual thing. It didn't read like a usual nonfiction book or medical thesis, but it was more like a story, otherwise, Zip wouldn't be reading it.

A soft jingle is heard from across the cafe, but he doesn't look up, it has just become background noise at this point. He continues to read, sip his tea, and relax. There were no electronics near him currently, other than the lights, so he wasn't super worried about blowing anything up on accident.

Kani nervously steps up to the counter, twisting the hem of her shirt between her hands as she looks up at the menu and then past the shoulder of the cashier. Doing her best to make it look like she was looking at them without making eye contact. "Ah... yes h-hello! May I have some green tea please?" ... "Hwah?! W-which kind? You have more than one? Uh... um... can I have the um... the plain one?" ... "They come in different sizes too? Um... the regular size? Is that a size?" ... "The uh... v-venti I guess?" Kani quickly fumbles for her money pouch to pull out a card to give to the cashier. Her cheeks a bright pink, she should have red the menu more. She looked so foolish now, thank god there was nobody else in line.
